When it is not more than 40%, according to the GB6067-85 standard, the number of scrapped broken wires shall be reduced according to the percentage of steel wire surface wear or corrosion, according to the reduction coefficient specified in the standard, and scrapped according to the number of broken wires after reduction.

(3) The number of scrapped broken wires of steel wire ropes for lifting hot metals or dangerous goods shall be half of the number of scrapped broken wires of general lifting steel wire ropes. This includes reduction of wire surface wear and corrosion.

(4) The whole wire rope is broken and should be scrapped.

(5) The diameter of the wire rope shall be reduced by 7% and shall be scrapped.

(6) The appearance inspection of the steel wire rope shall find any of the following situations and shall be scrapped: the hemp core is exposed; Obvious corrosion, dead knot, outer steel wire elongation is cage-shaped, wavy deformation amplitude is not less than 3/4 of wire rope diameter, rope strand extrusion, rope diameter local increase; Serious kink, rope diameter local serious reduction, part of the serious flattening, bending; when a recognizable color appears on the surface of the wire rope due to the action of heat or arc.
